NFL

CHICAGO BEARS – OVER 6.5 WINS (-150)

No two ways about it, the Bears quit on Head Coach John Fox last year, dropping seven of their last nine games on the way to a 5-11 finish. With the firing of Fox and the hiring of former KC offensive coordinator Matt Nagy there has been a major upgrade on the sideline. With Nagy running the showImage result for sam bradford cardinals, the offense will improve and the Bears, believe it or not, had a Top 10 defense last season. No reason to think Chicago won’t improve by at least two wins this year, especially with a favorable schedule. GO OVER!

ARIZONA CARDINALS – UNDER 6 WINS (-125)

Arizona has gutted out an average of 9.8 wins per season the last five years, but much of that was due to the superior head coaching of Bruce Arians. Unlike the Bears (see above), the head coaching change for the Cardinals is not a positive. According to our metrics, Arizona will play the toughest schedule in the NFL this season. With a questionable offensive line, we don’t expect the fragile Sam Bradford to last a full season, meaning the team’s offense will be pinning its hopes on rookie QB Josh Rosen. GO UNDER!

COLLEGE

LSU – UNDER 7.5 WINS (-150)

If you read the July issue of the Bondi Bulletin, you know we think it will be a long year for LSU. The Tigers have less talent offensively than they have had in years. QB continues to be a problem and for the first time in recent memory they do not have a stud running back. Toss in a killer schedule that starts with Miami and includes road trips to Auburn, Florida, and Texas A&M as well as Alabama and Georgia at home and you can see why eight wins will be stretch. “Coach O” is one of five men on our annual list of “Coaches on the Hot Seat” and could be gone before the season ends. GO UNDER!

FLORIDA – OVER 8 WINS (-125)

Last season was over before it started for the Gators, who lost a starting RB and WR, as well as eight other players, to suspension just before Game 1. Add in a pile of key injuries throughout the season and the result was a 4-7 season, which cost Head Coach Jim McElwain his job. One good thing about all of those injuries is that underclassmen accounted for 50% of the team’s starts (third-most in the nation) and that will pay off this year as we begin the Dan Mullen Era. Meanwhile, QB Feleipe Franks could be a sleeper Heisman Trophy candidate. GO OVER!
